Welcome to LUSU and Lakehead’s Orillia Campus! And for those of you returning, welcome back. As Orillia Coordinator I’m fortunate to have a variety of duties to keep me busy supporting the students of Orillia. I’m here to make sure the LUSU office is a positive, helpful resource that represents you. If you need information on LUSU and it’s services, including the Health and Dental Plan, call, email or visit me in the LUSU office.
LUSU is also committed to being a “Safe Space.” That means we are a place free from harassment and discrimination. EVERYONE is welcome at LUSU and in all of its spaces. I want to encourage students to come to your LUSU office for information, assistance, or just to chat because this is your student union. LUSU needs student involvement and feedback to help it grow to better represent you and serve your needs.
This is going to be another amazing year with all of our campaigns, including the Drop Fees Day of Action. So if you want to make a difference, I encourage all of you to get involved in your student union. Whether its through elected office, campaigns, or just stopping by; it’s a great way to make new friends and leave ‘change in your wake’.
