Many students, including myself, have chosen Lakehead for various reasons, a sense of adventure, a new challenge or to try something completely different.

You have chosen a university known for blue skies, crisp water, and natural surroundings. Lakehead is a place where we can chart our own path and offers many opportunities no matter where we end up.

Welcome to all new and returning students. I am Mike Snoddon, your student union President. Our union is as diverse and eclectic as the students that comprise it. This university, the professors, friends, colleagues all add to that great feeling that you get from walking around campus and it eventually feels like home.

It is my duty to serve as your eyes, ears, and voice of the student body with the University Administration, the City of Thunder Bay and our political affiliations.
Easier said, I am the executive most responsible for political matters on all levels, large or small.

Through the workings of the union, it is my hope to be able to provide effective leadership and foster leadership growth within these walls. It is my first priority to listen, speak-up, and act on your behalf.

Aside from representing you, I look forward to working with the LUSU team to offer you a wide variety of events, forums, and activities that you want to engage in,
within all aspects of Lakehead living.

Discover the sense of school spirit and pride that makes your school experience the best it can be.

Please drop by the office for some coffee or marshmallows, get to know your student leaders as we try to get to know you. Good luck in your studies but don’t forget to throw in some fun. I hope to see you out at Open Mic, The Outpost, or hanging out downstairs in the office. Wherever it may be, keep that frown upside down.
