Any student 18 years or older can become a member of the LUSU Board of Directors.
The LUSU Board of Directors is LUSU’s governing body, consisting of 16 elected Directors over both campuses, and the 3 Executives, which include the President, the Vice-President Finance, and the Vice-President Student Issues. As a member of the Board, you will play a key role in serving your fellow students by assessing claims, participating in the planning stages of major projects and events, helping to lead the student body, and much more!
Being a Director is a very important position within LUSU, as each Director represents the voices of almost 500 students. With weekly meetings at the Board table, sitting on committees and active participation in events, there’s a lot to do but that also means many opportunities to seize and plenty of chances to help keep students here proud of their union.
If this sounds like something you’re interested in, be sure to go to your LUSU Office between January 16-20, 2012 to pick-up your Nomination Package, and start on your path to become a Director!
