Well here’s your chance!
The LUSU executive consists of the President, Vice-President Finance and
Vice-President Student Issues. These are paid, full-time positions from May 1st to April 30th. All three positions allow you to serve the students and each have a unique set of responsibilities and will allow you to enhance your skills.
LUSU President:
• Is the Chief Executive Officer of LUSU
• Responsible for maintaining a line of communication with the
Lakehead University Board of Governors
• Responsible for maintaining a line of communication with
Lakehead University Administration
• The Executive that handles the media and the politics
• The Executive responsible for external relations and policy
• Skills needed: leadership, strong interpersonal communication skills and a vision and professionalism
LUSU Vice-President Finance:
• Responsible for all investments and finances of the Corporation
• Responsible for all staff and the creation of the annual budget
• The Executive that handles the Outpost
• The Executive responsible for LUSU club operations
• Skills needed: organization, a business sense and dedication
LUSU Vice-President Student Issues:
• Responsible for academic grievances
• Responsible for maintaining a line of communication with
Lakehead University Senate
• The Executive that is most responsible for all LUSU centres, commissioners and
coordinators
• The Executive that is responsible for orientation week
• The Executive that is responsible for the dissemination of information
• Skills needed: creativity, determination and an open mind
