What is the Pantry? The Pantry is a division of the LUSU Food Resource Centre. The Pantry is a safe, stigma-free environment that provides students experiencing food insecurity with culturally-diverse, nutritional, dietary accommodating, foods including both non-perishables and fresh options*. Students can access the pantry once every two weeks. How does it work? STEP ONE: To set up an appointment email FRC@lusu.ca . We will provide an overview of the program, hours for the week, and what to expect when you come in. A student can make an appointment once every 2 weeks (if needed). STEP 2: When you arrive: Check in with our staff. We will ask for your student ID and name. This information is kept confidential and is simply used to keep a record of the total number of students for each month. Your information will never be shared with anyone outside the FRC Staff. STEP 3: Grocery-Store-Style System: Using the guidelines, take what you need by filling our grocery basket. Remember to check our freezer and fridge space too! STEP 4: Checkout: Checkout by letting the staff know you are finished. On your first visit, we will provide you with a reusable bag! Otherwise, please bring your own bag. STEP 5: FEEDBACK?
